To swim or not to swim…
Sorry I haven’t been around much these past few days. I just finished one of my projects and thought I needed a little rest. And I’m also a little lazy these past few days, all I want to do is watch TV and sleep. And when I do get online, I just play with my virtual pets.
My sister and her family and I went joyriding for the past two weekends and I’m hoping we’ll be doing it again tomorrow. The first weekend we went to Tagaytay and just had dinner and last weekend we went to Laguna to scout for a private pool and we dropped by Enchanted Kingdom on our way home. I hope tomorrow we leave early and go to Nasugbu to scout for a beach resort.
So, to swim or not to swim? That is the question. Yep, we’re not sure yet if we’re going swimming this summer. We still haven’t found a decent beach resort and our only hope is in Nasugbu, Batangas because my sister doesn’t want to travel too far because of the kids. We also scouted for a private pool in Laguna but it’s either the houses are already old or the rates are too high, which we think is not worth for a pool (we’d rather spend the money on a beach resort). Still, I went shopping for some beach wear yesterday.

Well, my old bathing suit already gave up on me so I bought a new one while I still have money. No, I don’t have a body like that, only the swimsuit. I wish! Haha! This one’s from Marks & Spencer but the one I bought has a straight neckline and only has a single strap but has the same print and colors. I know it is a bit pricey but believe me it is definitely worth it. My previous one was also from M&S and I’ve had it since 1999, and that’s the only store I found with plus sizes swimsuits (but I didn’t look around really).
The aqua socks is just a cheap one from SM department store. I didn’t feel the need to buy a branded one because I know this one will already serve it’s sole purpose which is to protect my feet from rocks, broken glass, corals and those nasty sea urchins. My old one was also a cheap one from SM and I only got rid of it because I was too lazy to clean it and the sand already stuck to it. And look, it matches the color of my swimsuit! Haha!
Maybe next time, if I have more than enough, then I’ll buy a pair of booties. But right now, the next items on my wishlist are fins and a new set of mask and snorkel, which will be my fourth set already. My first set was a Mares, my second set was a Sherwood, and my third was a US Divers. I lost the first one in Quezon and right now I’m using the Sherwood mask and the US Divers snorkel. I really want to buy a new set and maybe one more for my nephew but I’m looking for the US Divers mask, snorkel and fins set and I’m not sure if there’s one available here in the country. If not then I have to ask my cousin to buy it online for me and wait for my brother-in-law to bring it home this December (he’ll be leaving again for the US this June). If you’re here in the PI and saw one, please let me know where I can find it. Thanks!
After shopping, we had a buffet dinner and Triple V. I ate mostly Japanese and Dad’s dessert. And I didn’t eat much because we already ate at McDo while waiting for my sis to get out of her office. Hay… ang sarap kumain! LOL!
So, I have to go now. Here’s to hoping that I’ll be able to go to the beach this summer!!!
TTFN!
