…that’s Songbird Avenue’s formula. Co-founders Meredith Fenwick and Jan Crowley are going to work with different designers every month to come up with a new kit and they’re going to donate 100% of their profit to charities.

Their very first kit is called Folk Art and they’re going to donate all proceeds to March of Dimes which helps fight to save babies. I just bought it and it’s so gorgeous, definitely worth its price. I was actually choosing between this one and another collaborative kit from another digital scrapbooking store but decided on this because of the donating aspect. I would really love to help in any way I can but my resources are limited and this refrains me from doing so. So this was the perfect opportunity for me to give a little something back to the community and I’m glad I did it.

Sorry I still haven’t blogged about our trip to the beach. I’m still waiting for the photos from my cousin so I can also post it here. Anyways, I’ve got some news from the digiscrapping world that concerns me.
#1 Voting for the first week of the Queen of the Crop contest has already begun and will end on the 11th. I’m not confident about it especially after seeing all the entries… I still can’t imagine myself competing with all those very artistic ladies but like what I’ve said, I joined the contest for the fun part and the motivation to scrap.
#2 My layout Fun In The Sun was chosen Hot LO of the Week #8 over at Pocket-Pearls. It was really unexpected and I’m so happy… I got myself a little GC and already bought a couple of element packs. Yay!
#3 I entered the blinkie contest at Little Dreamer Designs and made it to the top 11. Voting has already started and you can vote for me here. (I’m blinkie #10)
