I ate way too much last night that I had to stay awake until 4 am today so I didn’t have to sleep with a very full tummy. We ate dinner at 7pm, as usual, and it was my favorite, piniritong talong at bagoong (fried eggplant and shrimp paste). There were also fish and meat but I opted for the eggplant. Good thing I don’t eat much rice at dinnertime anymore because after dinner I helped my nephew make sushi which he brought to his field trip today. Of course, while making sushi we also ate some of it, it is, after all, another favorite of ours. My nephew rolled it and I cut it into pieces. We only ate the ends, by the way, so it really wasn’t a lot. But we only had 3 pieces of nori and had to be really inventive to make sushi that’s good for 5 persons. But we gave up and around 10pm, we decided to go to the grocery to buy more nori. My brother-in-law was a bit hungry so we stopped by the Pares House near our village. My nephew and I couldn’t resist it so we both ordered pares and had our second dinner for that night. That’s a LOT of food I ate last night that I didn’t feel hungry until lunch time today. I really need to go jogging now!
I’ve always been fascinated by those who can dance so well. I did some dancing when I was in high school but most of it were pop dances. I also tried square dancing once, thanks to my friend Tyrone who invited me to one of his family’s weekly square dancing sessions, it was a bit embarrassing because I had no clue what I was doing but it was really fun! If I had more energy and has the body for it I’d love to learn these dances…
1] Flamenco 2] Belly Dance 3] Tap Dance 4] Tango 5] Square Dance 6] Waltz 7] Swing 8] Salsa 9] Merengue 10] Mambo 11] Limbo 12] Jazz 13] Fandango
Nope, sorry, no lap dancing and pole danicng. I can’t imagine imagine myself doing those. I bet it’ll look funny instead of sexy. LOL!
You will always be a special part of me You will always be a special memory I`ll always cherish wonderful moments you have given me You are in my heart wherever I may be
All the times we shared will always be to me Songs my heart will sing refreshing melodies I`ll put together all of your laughter like a symphony I`ll remember you wherever I may be
I`ll put together all of your laughter like a symphony I`ll remember you wherever I may be
I`ll remember you wherever I may be I`ll remember you wherever I may be

This week’s song is a tribute to a friend of mine who’s very dear to my heart. When I was in college, I was an active member of the De La Salle Outdoor Club and they strictly implemented the buddy-buddy system when we’re on a trip. My constant buddy was Robert because the officers were teasing us so they always paired us during trips. Robert was nice and he once told me that I was his partner in crime. He really took care of me when we’re on trips and even when we’re just in school, he was a real gentleman. I remember once, I was in school and I was waiting for my dad. He saw me sitting on a bench, he sat beside and accompanied me while waiting for my dad. We talked about birthdays and I found out he wanted a chocolate cake for his birthday. I promised I’d give him chocolate cake on his next birthday but sadly he passed away. They found him in his bedroom with a gunshot on his head. His family said it was murder but some say it looked like suicide. I was really sad, I haven’t known him that long but he was really nice and sweet to me. I still haven’t bought him a chocolate cake but I promise I will on one of his birthdays. Today’s his birthday. Happy birthday Robert! I miss you!

Have you guessed what I did this weekend? I watched Paano Kita Iibigan, starring Regine Velasquez and Piolo Pascual. I liked it actually… the movie made me cry and some scenes also made me laugh. And another thing that I really liked about the movie is the songs! It sounded so romantic that I’m actually thinking of buying the soundtrack.
I also watched Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo. LOL! It may be too cheesy to some but I liked it. The movie made me laugh so hard, especially Ai Ai delas Alas and Luis Manzano. And it’s not as corny compared to most Pinoy comedies. And it made me miss my hometown, Malabon.
Anyway, just a little kwento… I went to Quiapo and Tayuman again yesterday to get the albums. I was quite disappointed with the album from Tayuman. I instructed them to print the name of the celebrant on the cover of the album. They did print it but not only that, they also printed the date below the name, and on the box cover they also printed the name of the kid and the event. I was a bit furious because first of all they misspelled the name on both the box and the album cover. Secondly, they put Christening Day on the box when the event is the christening AND the 1st birthday of the kid. When I called the album supplier she told me that I instructed her to print the “full name” on the album… yeah, full name of the kid but not the date and the event. Then she said that they just personalized the album and copied the text on the first page of my layout, which was not misspelled by the way, not knowing that the birthday part was on the middle part of the album. Hay nacoo! Good thing my client was nice and said she’d try covering it with sticker first and see if it’ll work. Kainis!
