This week’s song is a tribute to my very good friend Carl. This is his song for me. I remember one time he fetched me at Robinson’s Galleria and when I got inside the car he noticed that I was quiet. So he turned on the radio and played this song and sang it to me. I was teary eyed but I didn’t show it to him. I think I was sad because my other good friend Dave, who was kinda his rival, was leaving for the US and it was despedida that night. I really hate goodbyes so instead of going to Dave’s despedida, I just made up an excuse and went to Makati with Carl. Bad ko no? But I knew it was better that way. Carl on the other hand really tried to cheer me up. We went to Rockwell in Makati, had dinner at Holland’s Sausages and just hang around. I think I changed my mind a few times but Carl decided for me and told me not to go anymore. So I just called Dave and said my goodbyes to him on the phone. I was really trying my best not to cry but my voice was cracking up a little so I had to make our conversation quick. It was really sad and that’s when I really appreciated Carl after what has happened between us. See, Carl and I had a huge fight over something really petty and I ended up hanging out with a different set of friends (Dave and co.). So anyway, hope you’ll like this song.

By the way, Carl’s birthday was last week, October 19. Belated happy birthday Carl!!!
