Where have all the flowers gone?

Two famous personalities passed away recently… Patrick Swayze and Mary Travers of Peter, Paul & Mary. We all know Patrick Swayze from Dirty Dancing and Ghost. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2008 and succumbed to the disease last September 14.

What I’m really sad about was when I heard about Mary Travers. The songs by Peter, Paul & Mary are part of my life, of who I am. I grew up listening to their songs and putting into the mind their messages.Here’s from their website:

Mary Travers passed away on September 16th. After successful recovery from leukemia through a bone marrow/stem cell transplant, Mary succumbed to the side effects of one of the chemotherapy treatments.

Sad isn’t it, knowing that she recovered already? Anyway, here is a song by Peter, Paul & Mary that I really love, Where Have All The Flowers Gone. The song reminds me of my high school teacher. She used to tell us that flowers are for admiring and not for picking. Enjoy listening!
