Happy new year!

It’s the first week of January 2013 and I’m going to be talking planners.

Last year, I’ve decided to keep a planner or journal to help me be organized but it was a major fail. I decided to get the Belle de Jour Power Planner because I’d been hearing a lot of buzz about it. I didn’t like it.

Yes, it came with a lot of perks (discount coupons) and features but I guess it wasn’t really for me. The pages were too busy for me. I realized I needed more negative space where I could write more stuff or draw. I need a whole page for a day and not just a single column (or half in Saturday’s and Sunday’s cases). Okay… so, maybe I’m not a fashionista, huh?

Another thing that I didn’t like about the BDJ planner (aside from the lack of space despite it’s size and thickness) was the paper quality. I want smooth and white paper.

Here’s another reason why I stopped using my BDJ planner… mine was missing the first week of February. Yeah, you guessed it right, that’s when I stopped using it. Haha. I didn’t complain anymore because I didn’t want to go through all the trouble. And here’s another thing… I tried to claim my free Carbtrim and Athena milk samplers through email using the coupons (the only coupons I actually used) that came with the planner but was unsuccessful. I never received anything, not even an automated response to my email. I’m not even sure if they were checking those email accounts. Was I too late? I emailed last November but the coupons said I could use it until the last day of December.

No Starbucks planner for me, too, this year. I’d really love the green one (If there’s anybody out there who wants to gift me one… go! Haha!) but I know I will just end up keeping it and not using it. I want a planner that I will use.

Anyways, the point of this post is that I finally found the planner for me! Yay! It’s none other than Witty Will Save the World, Co.’s Witty Diary/Planner 2013! I love everything about it! The size is just perfect, it’s not too big, not too small. The paper is smooth and clean. Each day has a page with bonus tidbits of interactive questionnaires. It’s so witty and so quirky, just like me! Haha!

I pre-ordered my copy last November and I love it that tita Witty even included a personal note apologizing for the delay. That note added a lot of plus points!

Divisoria in December

December 10th, 2012 Forgotten Girl

My family and I (minus the kids) went to Divisoria yesterday to do some shopping. My sister did some Christmas shopping and I looked for crafty supplies and trinkets. We thought there weren’t going to be a lot of people there because Manny Pacquiao had a fight but we were very wrong. I’m telling you, I’m not going back there again during December… the crowd was just wow and the weather was humid, I was sweating like a pig the whole time. I wasn’t able to shop comfortably. But despite, the trip was still worth it. I was able to get some really great loots.

First thing that I got is this pack of resealable plastics for my cds. Haha! The store that I bought this from is usually closed on Sundays but it was open yesterday so I grabbed the chance. I got this for about P230 ($5.75) for a pack of 500.

Next, my mom was supposed to show me where the store Good Morning is located. We did find it but it was closed. Going there, we found these stalls on the sidewalk selling native products and Christmas decors. I was able to get these bundles of abaca twine (I’m not sure if they’re abaca, just assuming here. ) in different colors. I didn’t just grabbed the colors that attracted me and didn’t haggle much anymore because the sun was scorching hot. Original price was P35 per bundle but I got 3 bundles for P100 ($2.50).

We then proceeded to Divisoria Mall. This is one of the to-go-to places in Divisoria if you’re planning on buying wholesale and if you’re buying favors and prizes for kiddie parties. I actually saw a lot of things I want to buy but I didn’t feel comfortable waiting for a long time before getting assisted and then guarding your bag heavily because a lot of people are bumping on you on all sides. So, yeah, sadly I didn’t buy anything from there.

On our way back to 999 Mall (where we were parked) I dropped by one of the cheap toy stores along Sta. Elena street to buy my dear Bailey what? Bubbles!!! Hahaha. These are the stores where you can buy cheap plastic toys and stuff for party bag fillers. And since Bailey is a good boy dog, he’s going to share his bubble toys with my niece and nephew. Got the bubbles for P75 ($1.87) for a pack of 24.

From 999 mall I got faux leather headbands for me and my niece, bracelets for my fangirl friends, nail art stickers. The headband costs 3 for P100 ($2.50) but I haggled and told them I’ll get 6 for the price of P90 for 3, total of P180 ($4.5o). The bracelets I got for 10 for P200 ($5), original price was 4 for P100 ($2.50). I got two pieces for free and they’re really nice, too. The beads are made of some kind of stone, I think, and they green… perfect for my fangirl friends. The nail are stickers I got for P100 for 5. I didn’t buy much and I didn’t haggle anymore because the saleslady assisting me was ill-tempered. I didn’t like her. Anyway, here are photos of my loots…

I’m definitely going back to Divisoria… soon… but definitely not this month! First week of January maybe? Oh, I can’t wait!!! Still have lots to buy and stores to visit!

Green Loots

October 10th, 2012 Forgotten Girl

I went to the mall last weekend with my dad and while he was busy buying premium cigars as gifts for his friends, I was busy shopping at CD-R King. The store has become an all-in-one store, I won’t be surprised if they start selling one day. But I’m not complaining. I’m actually amazed at the variety of items they sell… they even sell nail files now. And yes, they’re cheap!

Of course, whenever I go to CD-R King, I never leave empty handed. Got me a couple of very cheap green loots. Yay! (Fyi, green isn’t really my favorite color but I grew fond of it because of my love for nature, my alma matter, and my fandom. ) And here are my loots:

Those are a small whiteboard which I got for only P40 and a pair of USB speakers for only P150. I wasn’t expecting much from the speakers but it’s actually pretty nice. Its sound isn’t shattered even at maximum volume. Such a great find! Oh and that table is also from CD-R King. It’s a fold-able laptop table with steel legs. I got it for less than P300 if I remember correctly.

P85 Loots

April 2nd, 2012 Forgotten Girl

Got me some loots from Saizen last week. For those who do not know, Zaisen is a store which sells Japanese stuff for only P85 each. Some items may seem not worth it but most are very much worth more than P85. They have b ranch in AliMall, Cubao, if I’m not mistaken, and the one I went to is inside True Value in Trinoma.

Here are my loots:

There’s a tin can bucket which I will use a trash bin at my work area, a mini tin case (I’m going to use this to make a mini photo album for a friend), and a set of chair leg covers (pack of 4). I also bought a green mini plastic container that’s about half the size of a shoe box. All these for only P85 each. Not bad eh? I was also looking for a long one-fold leather wallet but they don’t have it. I guess I’m asking too much for P85 huh? Haha!

Oh and that green table is also a loot but from a different store. Will post about it next time.

2012 Belle de Jour Power Planner

I promised myself to keep a journal/planner starting next year to keep me organized. I was pondering over which planner to use. I have this simple classy one that I bought from the bookstore a couple of months back but I gave it to my nephew. I also have this planned from my SS501 collection but I don’t have the heart to use it. Haha. And then there’s this Little Prince planner that I saw on eBay… there were 2 actually but I’d like to collect them instead of use them. Then I saw CashCahsPinoy‘s promo for the 2012 Belle de Jour Power Planner.
