Metal + Wooden Bangles

February 26th, 2013 Forgotten Girl

My cousin, sister and I went on an impromptu trip to Divisoria last weekend. We had a little get together for my and my sister’s birthdays and while we were catching up my sister suddenly blurted out “Let’s to Divisoria!” She said she had to buy prizes for their company’s event. It was already 4 p.m. and we left about half an hour after. We reached Divisoria about 5:30 p.m. already and the guard told us that the parking is open only until 7:30 p.m. so we had to hurry.

We didn’t have time to really shop because our destination is at the far end of Divisoria and we had to walk a long way to and fro. But I did get a couple of good deals so I was one happy impromptu shopper. The reason why we had to walk a long way is to look for my cousin’s wooden clothes pins. I wasn’t even sure if they have it there but I did find it. It was P100 for a pack of 50. Of course, a trip to Divisoria wouldn’t be complete without haggling so I got it for P80 a pack.

I also got me some big erasers for my rubber stamping. P120 for a pack of 12… not bad, eh? And my most favorite buy… tadah!

Bangles! Yes, I’m that happy! Hahaha! Got these babies for only P100 for 3 sets. One set includes two wooden and one metal bangles. There are only two sets in the picture because I already gave the third one to somebody. Such a steal, right?

I can’t wait to go back to Divisoria and see what else I’m going to discover.

Divisoria in December

December 10th, 2012 Forgotten Girl

My family and I (minus the kids) went to Divisoria yesterday to do some shopping. My sister did some Christmas shopping and I looked for crafty supplies and trinkets. We thought there weren’t going to be a lot of people there because Manny Pacquiao had a fight but we were very wrong. I’m telling you, I’m not going back there again during December… the crowd was just wow and the weather was humid, I was sweating like a pig the whole time. I wasn’t able to shop comfortably. But despite, the trip was still worth it. I was able to get some really great loots.

First thing that I got is this pack of resealable plastics for my cds. Haha! The store that I bought this from is usually closed on Sundays but it was open yesterday so I grabbed the chance. I got this for about P230 ($5.75) for a pack of 500.

Next, my mom was supposed to show me where the store Good Morning is located. We did find it but it was closed. Going there, we found these stalls on the sidewalk selling native products and Christmas decors. I was able to get these bundles of abaca twine (I’m not sure if they’re abaca, just assuming here.) in different colors. I didn’t just grabbed the colors that attracted me and didn’t haggle much anymore because the sun was scorching hot. Original price was P35 per bundle but I got 3 bundles for P100 ($2.50).

We then proceeded to Divisoria Mall. This is one of the to-go-to places in Divisoria if you’re planning on buying wholesale and if you’re buying favors and prizes for kiddie parties. I actually saw a lot of things I want to buy but I didn’t feel comfortable waiting for a long time before getting assisted and then guarding your bag heavily because a lot of people are bumping on you on all sides. So, yeah, sadly I didn’t buy anything from there.

On our way back to 999 Mall (where we were parked) I dropped by one of the cheap toy stores along Sta. Elena street to buy my dear Bailey what? Bubbles!!! Hahaha. These are the stores where you can buy cheap plastic toys and stuff for party bag fillers. And since Bailey is a good boy dog, he’s going to share his bubble toys with my niece and nephew. Got the bubbles for P75 ($1.87) for a pack of 24.

From 999 mall I got faux leather headbands for me and my niece, bracelets for my fangirl friends, nail art stickers. The headband costs 3 for P100 ($2.50) but I haggled and told them I’ll get 6 for the price of P90 for 3, total of P180 ($4.5o). The bracelets I got for 10 for P200 ($5), original price was 4 for P100 ($2.50). I got two pieces for free and they’re really nice, too. The beads are made of some kind of stone, I think, and they green… perfect for my fangirl friends. The nail are stickers I got for P100 for 5. I didn’t buy much and I didn’t haggle anymore because the saleslady assisting me was ill-tempered. I didn’t like her. Anyway, here are photos of my loots…

I’m definitely going back to Divisoria… soon… but definitely not this month! First week of January maybe? Oh, I can’t wait!!! Still have lots to buy and stores to visit!

Hair Accessories

October 30th, 2011 Forgotten Girl

I went to the bank the other day to do some errands. Since it’s located in the mall, I decided to buy a couple of things. And boy, the mall was really crowded even though it was a working day. Even the bank was crowded. Sigh. Anyways, I bought a couple of hair accessories… headbands…

The brown and black ones are around P80 a set. They’re okay, they don’t hurt when I wear them but I’m not so sure if they’re going to last long. The thick brown ones are around P50 a set. It’s a fail! It’s too small, I can’t even fit it on my temple. I guess I got what I paid for huh? But still, it’s my money spent and wasted. Sigh. I’m not going to buy anything from that brand anymore, WWW (What Women Want).

Moving on… I also bought an atomizer… a spare one.

This one I like. It’s only around P50. But I like best about it is the size. It’s small and slim it can fit anywhere in my bag.

Of course, my trip to the mall wouldn’t complete without a visit to CD-R King. And here’s what I bought from there…

Cd envelopes! I don’t really need these right now but I can’t resist buying them because of the colors. Yes, those are black ones. I bought these for P200 a pack, 100 pieces in a pack.

I walked around the mall a little more before going home. It was fun watching the people going gaga over the sales. I even saw a group of trick or treaters. The kids were so adorable, dressed as medical stuff wearing small doctor, nurse and Cherokee uniforms… so cute!!!

I wanted to stay a bit longer but the crowd was making me a little dizzy. So, I decided to head home already.

Cross Connector Ring

August 13th, 2011 Forgotten Girl

I bought a new ring!!! ^^,

I was busy surfing the net the other day, helping a friend look for a good deal on permanent insurance. And you know me… my mind wondered of after an hour and decided to check on my Facebook account. That’s where I saw this FB store updating their photos and saw this ring.

It’s a connector ring, you wear it on two fingers. And it’s really cheap… only P80 ($2). The store is selling a lot more designs but they’re all too cute for me. But I’m keeping my eye on a couple of stackable bangles. I’m planning to buy them as soon as the event I’m attending is done.

You might want to check out the store… Jhajing Online Store. She also has a physical store somewhere in Visayas Avenue… gotta check it ou one of these days.

Guzhuli Multifunctional Headgear

May 6th, 2011 Forgotten Girl

I’m loving my Guzhuli! It’s a multifunctional headgear that you can wear in many ways. This was an unplanned buy. My nephew and I were window shopping one time and we saw this and thought it looked nice and we decided to buy it. I’m thinking this could be useful on my outdoor trips and travels.

Here are a number of ways you can wear it:

Cool huh? But since it’s so very hot in the Philippines right now, it serves another purpose for me. I use it to protect my lomo cameras when I travel. I don’t want my camera to get scratched but camera pouches are too bulky for me, so, voila! It’s definitely a fab find!
