A few more days and it’s already February and it is my birthday month! Wee! It is actually one of the busiest months for my family… 4 of us are celebrating our birthdays and 4 of my friends are also celebrating their birthdays on February. I’m thinking of searching the web for birthday gift baskets for sale for my friends. Then I’ll add one item that they really like in the basket… sort of like the main gift. I’m thinking mainly of food basket and then that 1 special item that they want… what do you think? Is it a good idea?

Happy new year, everyone!

I’d like to apologize for being absent… my lower back and right leg pains are back… well, they’re almost gone now. They did visit me during the holidays and they wouldn’t allow me to stay in one position for a very long time. I was stuck in my room just reading ebooks on my phone. It’s not the best ebook reader but it sure made my life less boring. I was thinking of borrowing my dad’s Kindle but I was too lazy to explore it.

So, Chinese new year is coming and I still haven’t bought my Feng Shui charms yet for the year of the water dragon. I don’t have the budget, yet, actually. Haha! I guess my old money charm or amulet will have to do. And I need to throw away my pagoda charm… I still have to find a body of water near me.

Got my Belle de Jour journal, by the way, and I’ll be making a review about it in the next few days. So, do watch out for it.

Beer, City Tour, Guzhuli & How to Cook Lechon

Title sounds interesting huh? Well, I was kidnapped yesterday by three of my friends and imagine all those things being involved in a span of 24 hours. Can you? Haha!

It’s quite a long story to tell… I’ll go check out my aunt’s new yoga ball that she got from Christmas then I’ll come back and finish this post. I promise I’ll finish this tonight and that’s a pinky promise!

So, like I was saying, I was kidnapped by my friends on Thursday morning. They came at around 7:30 am (yeah, that early) and asked me to go have breakfast with them… I ended up spending the night over. Haha!

After breakfast we went to my friend’s house and all we did was drink beer and watch tv. We went out to eat lunch then again at early evening to pick up some boxes in Quezon City and then bring the boxes to the airport in Pasay City… that’s our city tour. Imagine all the traffic jam we encountered from Cainta to Quezon City to Pasay. Then from Pasay we headed to Las Pinas to have dinner with another friend. This friend gave me a Guzhuli for Christmas. Yay! Got me another one!!! Love love love!

After dinner is beer time again and in comes the lechon (roasted pig) cooking lessons. My friend was telling us a story how he and his friends tried to make lechon twice already and they couldn’t figure out how to make the skin crispy. Good thing my other friend knows how and so we all learned how to roast a pig. I’m not going to post it here anymore because it’s kinda long and I can’t remember some steps anymore (effect of the beer haha). We went back to Cainta after finishing 3 big bottles of Red Horse beer and we’re off to dreamland.

It was really nice seeing my friends again after a long while. I just wish we had more time to spend. Maybe next time…

Work Work Work

I’m supposed to be working but the holiday is keeping me from it. I have 40 hours of work to finish this week but I’ve only 2 hours. That’s pretty bad, I know! The other day I was prepping to start working and I decided to turn on the television to keep me company (the work’s repetitive so it can get a little boring). I saw this show which shows how hydraulic cartridges were done and it reminded me to check the DFTCorp.com hydraulic cartridge that someone’s asking me to check then the site somehow reminded me about mining and I ended up watching the mining videos on the site I’m working on. It was a disaster , my day, I mean… all plans were ruined… but the mining videos were interesting.

Anyways, will be working tonight until tomorrow so I can catch up. Wish me luck!

I promised myself to keep a journal/planner starting next year to keep me organized. I was pondering over which planner to use. I have this simple classy one that I bought from the bookstore a couple of months back but I gave it to my nephew.
